     Major Ranald Macdonald, 3rd of Kinlochmoidart was the son of Alexander Macdonald, 2nd of Kinlochmoidart and Marion Macdonald.2 He married Margaret Cameron, daughter of Major Donald Cameron.2 He died in 1725.2
     He fought in the Battle of Sheriffmuir.2 He gained the rank of Major in 1715 in the service of the Clanranald Regiment, Jacobite Uprising.2

     Rt. Rev. Hugh Macdonald was the son of Alexander Macdonald, 6th of Morar and Mary Macdonald.2 He died in March 1773.1
     He held the office of Bishop of Diana.1 He was Vicar Apostolic of the Highland District in 1731.1 He was a Jacobite, and escaped to France in 1745.2 In 1749 he returned to Scotland, when he was obliged to live outside his diocese.2
