     Barbara MacGregor was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert MacGregor and Barbara Mackenzie.2 She married Lt.-Col. Richard Hort on 27 September 1826.1,3 She died on 16 August 1841 at Government House, Dominica, from a fever.1,3 She was buried on 17 August 1841 at Dominica.3
      From 1826, her married name became Hort.
