Charles Lindsay Temple1

     Charles Lindsay Temple was born on 20 November 1871.2 He is the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Richard Temple, 1st Bt. and Mary Augusta Balcarres.2 He married Olive Susan Miranda MacLeod, daughter of Sir Reginald Macleod, 27th of MacLeod and Lady Agnes Mary Cecilia Northcote, on 28 April 1912.2 He died on 9 January 1929 at age 57, without issue.2
     He was V-Consul Manaus Brazil , N Nigeria: Resident 1901–10, Ch Sec 1910–13, Lt-Govr 1913–17, FRGS, Fellow, Geological Society (F.G.S.) in 1899.2 He held the office of Lieutenantt-Governor of Northern Nigeria between 1913 and 1917.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.).2

     Alice MacLeod was born on 24 June 1902 at Paddington, London, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Hubert Walter and Dame Flora Louisa Cecilia Macleod, 28th of Macleod.3 She married Archibald Corrie Macnab of that Ilk, 22nd Chief, son of James William MacNabb and Alice Mary Corrie, on 23 March 1931.1 She died on 21 July 1980 at age 78.3
     She was given the name of Alice Walter at birth.3 She graduated from Girton College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1924 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 From 23 March 1931, her married name became Macnab. She was decorated with the award of the Kaisar-i-Hind Medal (silver and gold).1 In 1943 her name was legally changed to Alice MacLeod of MacLeod.3 In 1949 her name was legally changed to Alice MacLeod Macnab.3

     John MacLeod, 29th of MacLeod was born on 10 August 1935.1 He was the son of Robert Wolrige Gordon, 9th of Esslemont and 20th of Hallhead and Joan Walter.2 He married, firstly, Drusilla Mary Shaw, daughter of Sebastian Shaw, on 25 July 1961.1 He and Drusilla Mary Shaw were divorced in 1971.1 He married, secondly, Melita Kolin, daughter of Duko Kolin, on 19 March 1973.1 He and Melita Kolin were divorced in 1992.1 He married, secondly, Ulrika (?) after 1992.3 He died on 12 February 2007 at age 71.3
     He was given the name of John Wolrige Gordon at birth.2 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 In 1951 his name was legally changed to John MacLeod of MacLeod, younger.2 He was educated at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.1 He was educated at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, London, England.1 He was recognised by the Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Office on 2 June 1962.1 He held the position of 29th Chief of the Name and Arms of MacLeod in 1976.1 He lived in 2003 at Dunvegan Castle, Isle of Skye, Scotland.1
