      And was drowned in a storm on the N coast of sp.1 Her married name became MacLeod.

     Alexander MacLeod, 9th of Raasay is the son of John MacLeod, 2nd of Rigg.2 He married Catherine MacLeod, daughter of Sir Norman MacLeod, 1st of Bernera.1
      9th OF RAASAY.1 On 19 August 1692 obtained , a resignation from his cousins, Janet and Gelis, the heirs of line, and got a charter of the whole lands of Raasay, etc.1

     Sir Norman MacLeod, 1st of Bernera is the son of Sir Roderick Macleod of Macleod, 15th Chief and Isabel Macdonell.2 He married Margaret MacKenzie, daughter of unknown MacKenzie of Lechslyne.3
      In 1661 knighted for servs to the royalist cause, obtained lease of Bernera.3

     Malcolm MacLeod, 10th of Raasay is the son of Alexander MacLeod, 9th of Raasay and Catherine MacLeod.2 He married Mary Mackenzie, daughter of Alexander Mackenzie 3rd of Applecross.1 He married Janet MacLeod of Osgaig in 1748.1
      OF RAASAY.1 He was accompanied by his 2nd son Dr Murdoch MacLeod, of Eyre and Captain Malcolm MacLeod, his n, joined in the Uprising at the head of a hundred of the MacLeods of Raasay, kept his eldest son out of the rising and conveyed the estates to him in 1745.1
