     Ethelred Theodora Macnaghten was born on 19 October 1883.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Alexander Macnaghten and Louisa Mangles.² She married Reverend Very Richard Henry Malden, son of Charles Edward Malden, on 24 January 1918.¹ She died on 21 August 1960 at age 76.¹

     He was Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Cantab, Lieutenant-Colonel cmdg 4th Battalion Australian –16 (wounded, despatches) Inf 1915.¹ He was Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.).¹
