     Thomas Macpherson, 1st Baron Macpherson of Drumochter was born on 9 July 1888.1 He was the son of James Macpherson and Catherine Rollo Greig.2,3 He married Lucy Butcher, daughter of Arthur Butcher, on 29 January 1920.1 He died on 11 June 1965 at age 76.1
     He fought in the First World War, with Highland Light Infantry.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Romford between 1945 and 1950.1 He was chairman of Thames Passenger Services between 1948 and 1965.1 He was member of the PLA between 1949 and 1965.1 He was created 1st Baron Macpherson of Drumochter, of Great Warley, co. Essex [U.K.] on 30 January 1951.1 He was awarded the Officer, Order of Orange-Nassau of the Netherlands.1 He was chairman and joint managing director Macpherson, Train & Co, Foreign and Colonial Food & Produce Importers and Exporters, London.1

     Lucy Butcher was the daughter of Arthur Butcher.2 She married Thomas Macpherson, 1st Baron Macpherson of Drumochter, son of James Macpherson and Catherine Rollo Greig, on 29 January 1920.1 She died in 1984.1
     From 29 January 1920, her married name became Macpherson. After her marriage, Lucy Butcher was styled as Baroness Macpherson of Drumochter on 30 January 1951.

     Hon. Annie Butcher Macpherson was born on 21 September 1920.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Macpherson, 1st Baron Macpherson of Drumochter and Lucy Butcher.2 She married Sir Richard Harries Davies, son of Thomas Harries Davies, on 15 April 1944.1 She died on 24 September 1976 at age 56.1
     From 15 April 1944, her married name became Davies.
