     George Hunter Macthomas Thoms, 2nd of Aberlemno was born on 3 June 1831.2 He was the son of Patrick Hunter Macthomas Thoms, 1st of Aberlemno and Grace Watt.3 He died in 1903, and was succeeded by his n: unmarried.2
     He was de jure 16th Chief, FRSA, Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.) (Scot).2 He was Advocate, memb Royal County Archers, Sheriff of Orkney and Zetland and V-Adml of the Pentland Firth, author of several legal works, matric arms LO in 1884.2
