     Sir Alfred Bakewell Howitt was the son of Francis Howitt.2 He married Hon. Dorothy Whiteley, daughter of George Whiteley Whiteley, 1st Baron Marchamley and Alice Tattersall, on 26 May 1911.1 He died on 8 December 1954.1
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He graduated with a Bachelor of Surgery (B.Ch.)1 He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.)1

     Thomas Scott Johnstone was born in 1855 at Shielswood Farm, Ashkirk, Roxburghshire, ScotlandG.3 He was the son of James Johnstone and Mary Miller Little.2 He married Margaret Lambie, daughter of George Lambie and Elizabeth Stevenson, on 9 May 1879 at Mount Possession Station, Ashburton, New ZealandG.2 He died on 3 December 1936 at Christchurch, New ZealandG.2
     He emigrated with his parents to New ZealandG arriving on 1863 on board Brother's Pride.2 He was a farm manager at Glenmark Estate, Ashburton, New ZealandG.2 He was a farm manager at Hakatere Station, Ashburton, New ZealandG.2

     Margaret Clara Johnstone was born on 20 February 1891 at Hakatere Station, Canterbury, New ZealandG.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Scott Johnstone and Margaret Lambie.3,2 She married William Tattersall Whiteley, 2nd Baron Marchamley, son of George Whiteley Whiteley, 1st Baron Marchamley and Alice Tattersall, on 24 May 1911 at Glenmark, Waipara, Canterbury, New ZealandG.1,2 She died in 1974 at Newton, EnglandG.4
     Margaret Clara Johnstone usually went by her middle name of Clara.1 From 24 May 1911, her married name became Whiteley. After her marriage, Margaret Clara Johnstone was styled as Baroness Marchamley on 21 October 1925.

John William Tattersall Whiteley, 3rd Baron Marchamley1

     John William Tattersall Whiteley, 3rd Baron Marchamley was born on 24 April 1922 at England.2 He was the son of William Tattersall Whiteley, 2nd Baron Marchamley and Margaret Clara Johnstone.3 He married Sonia Kathleen Pedrick on 25 July 1967.1 He died on 26 May 1994 at age 72 at England.2
     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1940 in the Royal Armoured Corps.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 19th King George V Own Lancers, and attached to the Indian Army.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Marchamley, of Hawkstone, Shropshire [U.K., 1908] on 17 November 1949.1

     Sonia Kathleen Pedrick married John William Tattersall Whiteley, 3rd Baron Marchamley, son of William Tattersall Whiteley, 2nd Baron Marchamley and Margaret Clara Johnstone, on 25 July 1967.1
     After her marriage, Sonia Kathleen Pedrick was styled as Baroness Marchamley on 25 July 1967. From 25 July 1967, her married name became Whiteley.2

     Hon. Alice Tattersall Whiteley was born on 11 April 1917.1 She is the daughter of William Tattersall Whiteley, 2nd Baron Marchamley and Margaret Clara Johnstone.2 She married Lt.-Col. Robert Danby Bradford, son of Arthur Danby Bradford, on 9 May 1946.1
     She gained the rank of Commandant|Auxiliary Territorial Service between 1940 and 1945.1 From 9 May 1946, her married name became Bradford.3

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Coldstream Guards.1
