Alexander Macdonald, 3rd of Ardnabie1

     Alexander Macdonald, 3rd of Ardnabie was the son of Angus Macdonald, 2nd of Ardnabie and Janet Grant.2 He married Mary Macdonald.1 He died in 1695.1
     He was a Gaelic poet.1 In 1694 he received a renewal of the wadset from Glengarry.1

John Macdonald, 4th of Ardnabie1

     John Macdonald, 4th of Ardnabie was the son of Alexander Macdonald, 3rd of Ardnabie and Mary Macdonald.2 He married Mary Macdonell, daughter of Reginald Macdonell, 2nd of Scotus and 10th of Glengarry and Flora Macleod.1 He died in 1730.1
     In 1714 he signed an address to King George I.1 He fought in the Uprising in 1715.1
