     Major David Rickards Baskerville Mynors was born on 16 September 1915.1 He was the son of Reverend Aubrey Baskerville Mynors and Margery Musgrave Harvey.2 He married Mary Laurence Garton, daughter of Charles Leslie Garton, on 6 July 1938.1 He died on 1 April 1999 at age 83.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was with Courtauld's between 1937 and 1967.1 He fought in the Second World War, in the Middle East and Italy.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Scots Guards.1 He was decorated with the award of the U.S. Bronze Star.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).1 He was director of National Provident Institution between 1957 and 1987.1 He was director of Imperial Tobacco between 1967 and 1971.1 He was director of RFD Group between 1972 and 1986.1 He was director of HP Bulmer between 1974 and 1983.1 He was director of Beresfords Group between 1976 and 1987.1
