     David John Charlton Meyrick was born on 2 December 1926.¹ He was the son of Thomas Frederick Meyrick and Ivy Frances Pilkington.² He married Penelope Anne Marsden-Smedley, daughter of Commander John Bertram Aubrey Marsden-Smedley, on 29 September 1962.¹ He died in 2004.¹
     He was also known as 4th Baronet [U.K. Life Peer].¹ In 1948 FRICS, FCLAS.¹ He graduated in 1948 with a Eton and Trin Hall Cambridge Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) , Master of Arts (M.A.) 1956).¹
