     Major Douglas Reynolds, V.C. was born in 1881 at Clifton, Bristol, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Charles Reynolds and Sarah Eleanor B. Goodwyn.2 He married Marie Doris Petersen, daughter of Sir William Petersen and Flora M'Kay Sinclair, in 1915 at Epsom, Surrey, EnglandG.1,2 He died on 23 February 1916, from wounds recevied in action.2
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 He was commissioned in 1900 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Royal Field Artillery.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was severely wounded.2 He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 16 November 1914.1,2 He gained the rank of Major in the 83rd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery.2

     Mary Bulteel was born on 15 May 1928.1 She was the daughter of John Crocker Bulteel and Marie Doris Petersen.1 She married Richard Francis Birch Reynardson, son of Lt.-Col. Henry Thomas Birch Reynardson and Diana Helen Ponsonby, in 1951.2 She died on 18 April 2015 at age 86.2
     From 1951, her married name became Birch Reynardson.2
