     John Whiteford of that Ilk and Miltown was the son of Adam de Quhitfuird and Katherine Stewart.1 He married, firstly, Agnes Lockhart.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Sempill, daughter of Robert Sempill, 3rd Lord Sempill and Isabel Hamilton, before 24 January 1553/54.1 He died after 1579.1
     He lived at Mylnetoun, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG.1 In 1554 he was granted a charter.1 He lived at Whitefoord, Renfrewshire, ScotlandG.1

     Adam de Quhitfuird is the son of Quintin de Quhitfuird.1 He married Katherine Stewart.1
     In 1519 he had sasine.1 He acquired Mylnetoun (Mitlon Lockhart), Lanarkshire.1 In 1528 his lands were escheated but subsequently restored.1

     John de Quhitfuird is the son of Patrick de Quhitfuird.1
     In 1474 he had sasine.1 He held the office of Baillie for the Abbot of Paisley for the Burgh of Paisley in 1488.1 In 1489 he received remission for his part in burning the town of Dumbarton.1

     John Whiteford was the son of John Whiteford of that Ilk and Miltown and Agnes Lockhart.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Lindsay.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Houston, daughter of Sir Patrick Houston of that Ilk.1 He died in 1606, without issue.1
     He lived at Whitefoord, Renfrewshire, ScotlandG.1 He lived at Mylnetoun, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG.1 In 1577 he was tried for treason.1
