     Emily Kensington was the daughter of John Powley Kensington.1 She married Brownlow Edward Layard, son of Charles Edward Layard and Barbara Bridgetina Mooyaart, on 19 June 1838.1 She died in 1840.1
     From 19 June 1838, her married name became Layard.1

     Emily Caroline Layard was born on 17 March 1844.1 She was the daughter of Brownlow Edward Layard and Caroline Mary Fenton.1 She married Reverend John Shepherd on 18 July 1867.1 She died on 2 September 1895 at age 51 at St. Luc, Switzerland.1
     From 18 July 1867, her married name became Shepherd.1
