     Sir Henry Piers, 1st Bt. was born circa 1628.1 He was the son of Sir William Piers and Martha Ware.2 He married Mary Jones, daughter of Henry Jones and Jane Cullum, circa 1653.1 He died on 19 September 1691.1
     They also had seven other sons and six daughters.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Counties Longford and Westmeath.1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1658.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Counties Longford and Westmeath in 1657/58.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Offaly in 1659.1 He held the office of Sheriff of St Johnstown, County Longford between 1661 and 1666.1 He succeeded as the 1st Baronet Piers, of Tristernagh Abbey, co. Westmeath [England] on 18 February 1660/61.1 He held the office of Sheriff of County Westmeath in 1663.1 He lived at Tristernagh, County Westmeath, Ireland.1

     Richard Clive Strachey was born in 1895.1 He was the son of Claude Mainwaring Strachey and Emily Chisholm Macpherson.1 He died on 4 August 1917, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of officer in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force.1 He fought in the First World War.1
