     Maj.-Gen. Richard Rodney Ricketts was born on 7 October 1801.1 He was the son of Gilbert Ricketts and Harriet Worsley Bligh.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Hamilton Montgomery Langley, daughter of Arnold Langley, on 1 September 1825.1 He married, secondly, Laura Saunders, daughter of Charles Saunders, on 20 June 1844.1
     He retired from the military in 1860, with the rank of Major-General, late of the Indian Army.1 He had another son and five other daughters.1

     Elizabeth Hamilton Montgomery Langley was the daughter of Arnold Langley.2 She married Maj.-Gen. Richard Rodney Ricketts, son of Gilbert Ricketts and Harriet Worsley Bligh, on 1 September 1825.1 She died in 1843.1
     From 1 September 1825, her married name became Ricketts.

Colonel Richard Rodney Ricketts1

     Colonel Richard Rodney Ricketts was born in 1826.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Richard Rodney Ricketts and Elizabeth Hamilton Montgomery Langley.2 He married Matilda Gertrude Langley, daughter of Captain A. E. Langley, in 1869.1 He died on 30 November 1873, on board the steamer Calcutta.3
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Madras Staff Corps.1

     Matilda Gertrude Langley was born circa 1851.2 She was the daughter of Captain A. E. Langley.3 She married Colonel Richard Rodney Ricketts, son of Maj.-Gen. Richard Rodney Ricketts and Elizabeth Hamilton Montgomery Langley, in 1869.1 She died on 13 September 1924.2
     From 1869, her married name became Ricketts. He had another son and another daughter.1

     Anna Catherine Ricketts was born on 5 May 1830.1 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Richard Rodney Ricketts and Elizabeth Hamilton Montgomery Langley.2 She married General Charles Hight, son of Reverend Thomas Hight, on 2 January 1854.1 She died on 11 May 1920 at age 90.1
     From 2 January 1854, her married name became Hight.
