     General Charles Hight was the son of Reverend Thomas Hight.2 He married Anna Catherine Ricketts, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Richard Rodney Ricketts and Elizabeth Hamilton Montgomery Langley, on 2 January 1854.1 He died on 26 December 1905.1
     He gained the rank of General in the Madras Infantry.1
