     Foster Charles Lowry Lamb, 2nd Baron Rochester was born on 7 June 1916.1 He was the son of Ernest Henry Lamb, 1st Baron Rochester and Rosa Dorothea Hurst.2 He married Mary Carlisle Wheeler, daughter of Thomas Benjamin Wheeler, on 12 December 1942.1 He died on 6 February 2017 at age 100.3
     He was educated at Mill Hill School, London, EnglandG.2 He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1937 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 23rd Hussars.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1941 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Rochester, of Rochester, co. Kent [U.K., 1931] on 13 January 1955.1 He was personnel manager for Mond Division, ICI between 1964 and 1972.1 He was Pro Chancellor in 1976 at Keele University, Keele, Staffordshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for Cheshire in 1979.1 He lived in 2003 at 337 Chester Road, Hartford, Cheshire, England.1
