     Elizabeth Skipwith was born circa 1591.1 She was the daughter of Sir William Skipwith and Margaret Cave.2 She married Sir John Pate, 1st and last Bt.1 She died on 17 August 1628.1
     Her married name became Pate.3

     Sir John Pate, 1st and last Bt. married Elizabeth Skipwith, daughter of Sir William Skipwith and Margaret Cave.1 He died in 1652.1
     He lived at Sisonby, Leicestershire, England.1 He gained the title of 1st Baronet Pate.1

     He held the office of High Sheriff of Middlesex County, Virginia.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Skipwith, of Prestwould, co. Leicester [E., 1622].1
