     Sir William Thornycroft was born on 9 March 1850 at St. Pancras, London, England.1 He was the son of Thomas Thornycroft and Mary Francis.1 He married Agatha Cox in 1884 at Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.1 He died on 18 December 1925 at age 75.1
     Sir William Thornycroft also went by the nick-name of Hamo.1 He was a sculptor.1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1917.1

Harry Lascelles Carr, son of Sir Emsley Carr and Jenny Lascelles Carr, in April 1933.1 She married, secondly, Major James Shelley Phipps Armstrong, son of Joseph E. Armstrong, on 9 September 1948.1
     From April 1933, her married name became Carr. From 9 September 1948, her married name became Armstrong.1
