     John Stracey was born on 26 November 1772.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Stracey, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Lathom.2 He married, firstly, Harriet Comyn, daughter of Thomas Comyn, on 1 February 1814.1 He married, secondly, Emma Elizabeth Clitherow, daughter of Christopher Clitherow, on 3 August 1819.1 He died on 15 October 1858 at age 85.1
     He lived at Sprowston Lodge, Norfolk, England.1

     Edward John Stracey-Clitherow was born on 4 June 1820.1 He was the son of John Stracey and Emma Elizabeth Clitherow.2 He married Harriot Matilda Marjoribanks, daughter of Edward Marjoribanks and Georgiana de Lautour, on 20 August 1846.1 He died on 20 September 1900 at age 80, without issue.1
     He was given the name of Edward John Stracey at birth.1 On 20 July 1865 his name was legally changed to Edward John Stracey-Clitherow by Royal Licence, under the terms of the will of James Clitherow.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Middlesex.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Scots Fusiliers Guards.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Middlesex in 1889.1 He lived at Boston House, London, England.1 He lived at Hotham Hall, Yorkshire, England.1
