     Lady Charlotte Murray was born on 23 October 1775.2 She was the daughter of John Murray, 4th Duke of Atholl and Hon. Jane Cathcart.3 She was baptised on 19 November 1775 at Dunkeld, Perthshire, Scotland.2 She married, firstly, Sir John Menzies of that Ilk, 4th Bt., son of James Menzies and Janet Stevenson, on 4 March 1797.1,3 She married, secondly, Admiral Sir Adam Drummond, 7th of Megginch Castle, son of Colin Drummond and Katherine Oliphant, on 28 May 1801.3 She died on 31 May 1832 at age 56.1
     From 4 March 1797, her married name became Menzies. From 28 May 1801, her married name became Drummond.3

     John Drummond, 8th of Megginch was born on 10 April 1803.1 He was the son of Admiral Sir Adam Drummond, 7th of Megginch Castle and Lady Charlotte Murray.2 He married Frances Jemima Oswald, daughter of General Sir John Oswald, on 20 November 1835.1 He died on 15 May 1889 at age 86.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Perthshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Perthshire.1

     Frances Jemima Oswald was the daughter of General Sir John Oswald.2 She married John Drummond, 8th of Megginch, son of Admiral Sir Adam Drummond, 7th of Megginch Castle and Lady Charlotte Murray, on 20 November 1835.1 She died on 22 December 1891.1
     She held the office of Woman of the Bedchamber to HM Queen Victoria.1 She was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)1 From 20 November 1835, her married name became Drummond.
