     George Vincent Watson was born on 11 September 1829 at County Limerick, Ireland.2 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Vincent Watson.3 He married Emily Geraldine Gosselin, daughter of Thomas William Gosselin and Harriet de Jersey, circa 1867.2 He died on 18 November 1900 at age 71 at 25 York Terrace, Regent's Park, London, England.2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 66th Regiment of Foot.2
