Maj.-Gen. Sir Matthew Aylmer, 8th Lord Aylmer was born on 28 March 1842.1 He was the son of Sir Udolphus Aylmer, 7th Lord Aylmer and Mary Eliza Journeaux.1 He married Amy Gertrude Young, daughter of Hon. John Young, on 20 October 1875.1 He died on 11 June 1923 at age 81.1
Maj.-Gen. Amy Gertrude Young was the daughter of Hon. John Young.1 She married Maj.-Gen. Sir Matthew Aylmer, 8th Lord Aylmer, son of Sir Udolphus Aylmer, 7th Lord Aylmer and Mary Eliza Journeaux, on 20 October 1875.1 She died on 14 September 1935.1
