     Princess Sophia Wassiltchkov was born on 15 September 1879 at St. Petersburg, Russia. She was the daughter of Prince Serge Wassiltchkov and Maria Isakov. She married Prince Alexander Stcherbatov on 1 July 1907 at St. Petersburg, Russia. She died on 30 March 1927 at age 47.
     Her married name became Stcherbatov.

She married, firstly, Andreas von Ludinghausen-Wolff on 4 July 1939 at Paris, France. She and Andreas von Ludinghausen-Wolff were divorced before 1959. She married, secondly, Eric Maedel on 20 June 1959 at Mexico.
     From 4 July 1939, her married name became von Ludinghausen-Wolff. From 20 June 1959, her married name became Maedel.

He married Princess Xenia Stcherbatov, daughter of Prince Alexander Stcherbatov and Princess Sophia Wassiltchkov, on 4 July 1939 at Paris, France. He and Princess Xenia Stcherbatov were divorced before 1959. He died on 8 December 1982 at age 70 at Brazil.
