     Vice-Admiral Rt. Hon. Sir John Norris married Hon. Elizabeth Aylmer, daughter of Admiral Matthew Aylmer, 1st Lord Aylmer and Sarah Ellis.1 He died in 1749.1
     He held the office of Captain of Deal Castle.1 He lived at Hempsted Park, Hempstead, Kent, England.3 He gained the rank of Admiral in the service of the Royal Navy.3 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.).1
