     Maj.-Gen. Sir Francis Howard was born on 26 March 1848. He was the son of Sir Henry Francis Howard and Marie Ernestine von der Schulenburg. He married Gertrude Jane Boyd, daughter of Hugh Conyngham Boyd, on 23 April 1895. He died on 21 March 1930 at age 81.
     He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.).1

     Gertrude Jane Boyd was the daughter of Hugh Conyngham Boyd. She married Maj.-Gen. Sir Francis Howard, son of Sir Henry Francis Howard and Marie Ernestine von der Schulenburg, on 23 April 1895. She died on 6 October 1953.
      Her married name became Howard.

George Patrick Hyde Villiers and Louisa Maria Maquay, on 16 September 1931.1 She died on 3 August 1982 at age 78.1
      Her married name became Villiers.

     George John Theodore Hyde Villiers was born on 1 October 1891.1 He was the son of Colonel Hon. George Patrick Hyde Villiers and Louisa Maria Maquay.2 He married Marjorie Howard, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Francis Howard and Gertrude Jane Boyd, on 16 September 1931.1 He died on 12 March 1942 at age 50.1
     He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Grenadier Guards (Special Reserve).1

     Colonel Hon. George Patrick Hyde Villiers was born on 27 September 1847.1 He was the son of George William Villiers, 4th Earl of Clarendon and Lady Katherine Grimston.2 He married Louisa Maria Maquay, daughter of George Disney Maquay, on 9 October 1884.1 He died on 10 January 1892 at age 44.1
     He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Grenadier Guards.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.).1 He was Military Attaché to St. Petersburg, Berlin and Paris.1 He was Military Secretary to the Governor-General of India.1
