     Cyril James Ward was born on 9 August 1913.¹ He was the son of Sir Cyril Rupert Joseph Ward, 2nd Bt. and Elinor Angela Davidson.² He married Janet Graham Stevenson, daughter of Dr. John Stevenson and Florence Johanna Arnott, on 22 April 1939.¹ He died on 3 April 1984 at age 70 at Christchurch, New Zealand.^1,3
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Pilot Officer in the Royal New Zealand Air Force.¹

     Dr. John Stevenson was born on 7 December 1867.² He married Florence Johanna Arnott, daughter of William Arnott, on 27 February 1904 at Congregational Church, Homebush, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.² He died on 10 May 1937 at age 69.²
     He lived at Fendalton, Christchurch, New Zealand.¹
