Edward John Morton Drax Plunkett, 18th Baron of Dunsany was born on 24 July 1878. He was the son of John William Plunkett, 17th Baron of Dunsany and Ernle Elizabeth Louisa Maria Grosvenor Burton. He married Beatrice Child Child-Villiers, daughter of Victor Albert George Child-Villiers, 7th Earl of Jersey and Hon. Margaret Elizabeth Leigh, on 15 September 1904. He died on 25 October 1957 at age 79.
