     John Earle Welby was born on 2 March 1820.1 He was the son of Reverend John Earle Welby and Felicia Elizabetha Hole.2 He married Catherine Mary Hutton, daughter of Reverend George Hutton, on 2 June 1873.1 He died on 8 May 1905 at age 85, without issue.1
     He lived Allington Hall.1 Grantham.1 He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.) Oxon.1 He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) (Lincs and Leics).1
