     Hugh Weltden was Edward WELDON, Master of the Household to HENRY VIII and father of Sir Anthony Weldon, Clerk of the Spicery and Board of Green Cloth, to whom ELIZABETH I granted the Manor of Swanscombe and who was ancestor of the WELDONs of Swanscombe) and a youn.1 He was had, with two elder sons (Hugh, ancestor of the WELTDENs of Shottesbrooke, Berkshire.1 Sewer to HENRY VII.1

     Thomas Weldon was the son of Walter Weldon and Jane Ryder.2 He married Mary Newman, daughter of Jacob Newman, on 26 April 1668.1 He died on 20 May 1647, intestate.1
