     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Looe.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.1

Charles John Kemeys-Tynte1

     Charles John Kemeys-Tynte was born on 29 May 1778.1 He was the son of Colonel John Johnson and Jane Hassell.2 He married Anne Leyson, daughter of Reverend Thomas Leyson, on 25 April 1798.1 He died on 22 November 1860 at age 82.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bridgewater between 1820 and 1837.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the West Somerset Yeomanry.1 He was he was declared by the House of Lords Privileges to be coheir of the whole blood to the Barony of Wharton, the outlawry of which was annulled 3 May 1845 by Writ of Error in the Court of Queen's Bench. Ho further action was taken at that time however in 1845.1 He lived at Cefn Mably, Glamorgan, Wales.1 He lived at Halswell, Somerset, England.1
