     Maj.-Gen.      John Maurice Armstrong Yerburgh was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, in the Irish Guards.1 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Dumfries and Galloway (Stewartry Division) in 1990.1 He lived in 1999 at Barwhillanty, Parton, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.1
