Major Paulyn Francis Cuthbert Rawdon-Hastings was born on 21 October 1856. He was the son of Charles Frederick Abney-Hastings, 1st Baron Donington and Edith Maud Rawdon-Hastings, Countess of Loudoun. He married Lady Maud Grimston, daughter of James Walter Grimston, 2nd Earl of Verulam and Elizabeth Joanna Weyland, on 20 December 1881. He died on 19 October 1907 at age 50.

Mary Margaret Best. He married, firstly, Nora Gerstenberg on 14 February 1888. He married, secondly, Elizabeth Frances Abney-Hastings, daughter of Major Paulyn Francis Cuthbert Rawdon-Hastings and Lady Maud Grimston, on 27 April 1916. He died on 28 March 1938 at age 77.

He married, secondly, Elisabeth Joyce Woolf, daughter of Dr. E. Alec Woolf, on 15 October 1954. He and Elisabeth Joyce Woolf were divorced in 1959. He married, thirdly, Evelyn Marjorie Harris, daughter of Dr. John Edmund Guy Harris, on 19 October 1959. He died in 1991.
