     Henry Francis Hope Pelham-Clinton, 8th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyme was born on 3 February 1866. He was the son of Henry Pelham Alexander Pelham-Clinton, 6th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyme and Henrietta Adela Hope. He married, firstly, Mary Augusta Yohe, daughter of William Yohe, on 27 November 1894. He and Mary Augusta Yohe were divorced in 1902. He married, secondly, Olive Muriel Thompson, daughter of George Horatio Thompson, on 27 February 1904. He died on 20 April 1941 at age 75.
     Henry Francis Hope Pelham-Clinton, 8th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyme gained the title of 8th Duke of Newcastle-under-Lyme.

She died on 30 August 1912.
