     Captain Walter Greville Bagot Chester was born on 15 March 1887.1 He was the son of Reverend Algernon Stewart McKenzie Bagot Chester and Emily Mary Dillman Pyne.1 He died on 28 March 1918 at age 31 at PalestineG, from wounds received in action.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Gurkha Rifles.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches and wounded.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1918.1

     From 19 September 1876, her married name became Selby-Lowndes.1
