     Joseph Hume, 10th of Ninewells was born on 10 February 1681.1 He was the son of John Hume, 9th of Ninewells and unknown daughter Johnston.1 He married Katherine Falconer, daughter of David Falconer, Lord Newton and Mary Norvell, on 4 January 1708.1 He died in August 1713 at age 32.1

     Katherine Falconer was born on 4 October 1683.1 She was the daughter of David Falconer, Lord Newton and Mary Norvell.1 She married Joseph Hume, 10th of Ninewells, son of John Hume, 9th of Ninewells and unknown daughter Johnston, on 4 January 1708.1 She died in 1745.1
     From 4 January 1708, her married name became Hume.1

     Agnes Carre was born before 1725.1 She was the daughter of Robert Carre and Eleanor Riddell.1 She married John Hume, 11th of Ninewells, son of Joseph Hume, 10th of Ninewells and Katherine Falconer, on 21 April 1751.1 She died in 1785.1
     From 21 April 1751, her married name became Hume.1

     He held the office of Baron of the Court of the Exchequer between 1822 and 1834.1 He was Professor of Law at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1
