     Franz August Graf zu Erbach-Erbach was born on 5 February 1925. He is the son of Alexander Graf zu Erbach-Erbach and Christa von Zulow. He married, firstly, Marguerite Sophie Charlotte Prinzessin zu Waldeck und Pyrmont, daughter of Josias Prinz zu Waldeck und Pyrmont and Altburg Marie Mathilde Olga von Holstein-Gottorp, Duchess of Oldenburg, on 27 March 1952. He and Marguerite Sophie Charlotte Prinzessin zu Waldeck und Pyrmont were divorced on 10 July 1979. He married, secondly, Christa Blosinger on 17 August 1979 at Schloss Eulbach.
     Franz August Graf zu Erbach-Erbach gained the title of Graf zu Erbach-Erbach. He was baptised with the name of Franz August Gustav Adam Hubertus Friedrich Wilhelm Hans Karl.
