     Reverend Harry Townsend Powell was born on 11 January 1800.1 He was the son of David Powell and Mary Townsend.1 He married Harriet Elizabeth Grimes, daughter of H. Grimes, on 30 September 1834.1 He died on 13 June 1854 at age 54.1
     Reverend Harry Townsend Powell was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1821 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was the Rector at Stretton-on-Dunsmore, England.1
