     Kurt-Christoph von Knobelsdorff was born on 7 November 1904 at Rathenow, Germany. He married Maria-Margherita von Schack, daughter of Marcel von Schack and Elisabeth Baronin von Thungen, on 30 May 1939. He died on 30 April 1945 at age 40, killed as a result of strafing by a low-flying aircraft.1
