     John Brisbane was the son of Robert Brisbane and Janette Stewart.2 He married, firstly, Anna Blair, daughter of John Blair of that Ilk and Grizel Sempill, on 24 December 1595.3 He married, secondly, Jean Sempill, daughter of Robert Sempill, 4th Lord Sempill and Lady Agnes Montgomerie, in April 1612.4 He died in 1635.1
     He lived at Bishopton, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1
