     George Damer, 2nd Earl of Dorchester was born on 28 March 1746.1 He was the son of Joseph Damer, 1st Earl of Dorchester and Lady Caroline Sackville.1 He died on 7 March 1808 at age 61 at Dorchester House, Park Lane, London, England, unmarried.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Cricklade between 1768 and 1774.1 He was educated in 1769 at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Crail between 1778 and 1780.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1779 in the 87th Foot.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
