     Reverend Arthur Loftus was born on 7 July 1795 at London, England.1 He was the son of General William Loftus and Lady Elizabeth Townshend.1 He married Mary Anne Ray Clayton on 10 August 1836.1 He died circa 1847.1
     He graduated from Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1819 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1822 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Vicar between 1822 and 1847 at Helhoughton, Norfolk, England.1 He was Rector and Vicar between 1826 and 1846 at Fincham St. Michael, Norfolk, England.1 He bought a case aginst his wife for restitution of conjugal rights.1
