Captain Thomas Charles Douglas Whitmore was born on 26 May 1839. He was the son of Thomas Charlton Whitmore and Lady Louisa Anne Douglas. He married Louisa Margaret Emily Cradock-Hartopp, daughter of Sir William Edmund Cradock-Hartopp, 3rd Bt. and Jane Mary Keane, on 11 May 1867.1 He died on 16 February 1907 at age 67.
