     Rosamund Hornby was born on 12 June 1914.1 She was the daughter of Charles Harry St. John Hornby.1 She married Admiral Sir Deric Douglas Eric Holland-Martin, son of Robert Martin Holland-Martin and Eleanor Mary Bromley-Martin, in 1951.1 She died on 18 June 2001 at age 87.1
     From 1951, her married name became Holland-Martin.1 She was chairman of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children between 1969 and 1988.1 She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1 She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1983.1
