     Lt.-Gen. Sir Manley Power was born in 1773. He was the son of Thomas Bolton Power and Ann Corney. He married Sarah Coulson, daughter of J. Coulson, in 1802. He married, secondly, Anna Evans, daughter of Colonel Kingsmill Evans, in 1818. He died on 7 July 1826 at Berne, Switzerland.1
     He fought in the Peninsular Wars. He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1815. He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Malta.
