     Admiral Miklós Horthy was born on 18 June 1868 at Kenderes, Hungary.1 He was the son of István Horthy and Paula Halassy.1 He married Magdolna Vilma Benedikta Purgly de Jószáshely in 1901 at Arad, Romania.1 He died on 9 February 1957 at age 88 at Estoril, Portugal.1

     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of 1st Lieutenant in the Royal Hungarian Air Force.1 He held the office of Deputy Regent of Hungary between February 1942 and August 1942.1
