She was the daughter of Johann August Prinz von Sachsen-Gotha-Roda and Luise Gräfin Reuss zu Schleiz. She married Friedrich Karl Fürst zu Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, son of Ludwig Gunther IV Fürst zu Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt and Sophie Henriette Gräfin Reuss zu Greiz, on 28 November 1780 at Roda, Germany. She died on 28 May 1805 at age 52 at Rudolstadt, Germany.
     Auguste Luise Friederike Prinzessin von Sachsen-Gotha-Roda was a member of the House of Wettin. She gained the title of Prinzessin von Sachsen-Gotha-Roda.

     Friedrich Karl Fürst zu Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt was born on 7 June 1736 at Rudolstadt, Germany. He was the son of Ludwig Gunther IV Fürst zu Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt and Sophie Henriette Gräfin Reuss zu Greiz.1 He married Auguste Prinzessin zu Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, daughter of Johann Friedrich Fürst von Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt and Bernardine Christine Prinzessin von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach, on 21 October 1763.1 He married Auguste Luise Friederike Prinzessin von Sachsen-Gotha-Roda, daughter of Johann August Prinz von Sachsen-Gotha-Roda and Luise Gräfin Reuss zu Schleiz, on 28 November 1780 at Roda, Germany. He died on 13 April 1793 at age 56 at Rudolstadt, Germany.
     Friedrich Karl Fürst zu Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt gained the title of Fürst zu Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt.1
