     Hubert William Fane was born on 9 November 1878.2 He was the son of Captain Henry George Fane and Blanche Louisa Spencer.2 He married Mathilde Emilie Aloise von Adametz, daughter of Victor August Josef von Adametz and Pauline Franceska Sophie Frederika (?), on 19 June 1911.2 He died on 7 November 1949 at age 70.2
     He was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, Rutland, England.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He held the office of Mayor of Kensington between 1934 and 1937.2 He lived at 24 Dawson Place, London, England.2

Mathilde Emilie Aloise von Adametz1

     Mathilde Emilie Aloise von Adametz was born on 6 April 1882.2 She was the daughter of Victor August Josef von Adametz and Pauline Franceska Sophie Frederika (?).1,2 She married Hubert William Fane, son of Captain Henry George Fane and Blanche Louisa Spencer, on 19 June 1911.1 She died on 12 September 1953 at age 71.1
      Mathilde Emilie Aloise von Adametz also went by the nick-name of Tilda.2 Her married name became Fane.

     Major Robert William Augustus Fane was born on 26 April 1913.2 He was the son of Hubert William Fane and Mathilde Emilie Aloise von Adametz.1,2 He married Elinor Valerie Borthwick, daughter of Hon. William Borthwick and Ruth Margery Rigby, on 15 October 1940.1 He died in 1989.1
     He was educated at Oundle School, Oundle, Northamptonshire, England.2 He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1934 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).2 He was registered as a Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.).2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1944.1 He was registered as a Associate Member, Institution of Mechanical Engineers (A.M.I.Mech.E.).2 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1950 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).2

William Borthwick and Ruth Margery Rigby.1 She married Major Robert William Augustus Fane, son of Hubert William Fane and Mathilde Emilie Aloise von Adametz, on 15 October 1940.1 She died on 22 December 2008 at Reigate Beaumont Care Home, Reigate, Surrey, England.2
      Elinor Valerie Borthwick usually went by her middle name of Valerie.1 Her married name became Fane.

     Dorothy Louisa Fane was born on 8 February 1917.1 She was the daughter of Hubert William Fane and Mathilde Emilie Aloise von Adametz.2,1 She married, firstly, Captain Frederick James Colville, son of Admiral Hon. Sir Stanley Cecil James Colville and Lady Adelaide Jane Meade, on 28 September 1938.2 She married, secondly, Clifford John Maddocks, son of John Maddocks, on 27 December 1941.2 She married, thirdly, Lt.-Col. John Anthony Russell Freeland, son of Colonel John Cavendish Freeland, on 8 September 1962.2 She and Lt.-Col. John Anthony Russell Freeland were divorced in 1974.3 She and Clifford John Maddocks were divorced in 1962.2 She died on 14 January 2007 at age 89.3
      From 28 September 1938, her married name became Colville. From 27 December 1941, her married name became Maddocks. From 8 September 1962, her married name became Freeland.
