     Thomas Sotheby was the son of Robert Sotheby and Grace Vavasour.1 He married Isabella Bird, daughter of Anthony Bird, on 10 April 1569.1,2 He died on 4 November 1624.2 He was buried on 5 November 1624 at St. Michael's, Malton, Yorkshire, England.2
     He lived at Birdshall Hall, Birdsall, Yorkshire, England.1

     From before 1569, her married name became Thorpe.1 From 10 April 1569, her married name became Sotheby.1
